He trailed kisses on my neck and down to my breasts. I’d wanted this since the first time he touched me. He was slow, deliberate and kissed me tenderly. He caressed and sucked on each nipple and I arched against him. He pushed my lacy panties off and stroked up my thigh slowly until he was touching me. His fingers brushed me oh so tenderly and deliberately.

He stroked me unhurried. I arched against him, not really understanding what was coming. He lingered between my legs and continued touching me slowly, rhythmically, until he found the spot driving me crazy and I reacted to his touch. I wasn’t sure what was happening but moved against him wanting more.

I felt myself losing control and I wasn’t sure I could take anymore. I grabbed his shoulders and shuddered as I yelled out in uncontrollable delight, clenching and writhing against him. He held on to me, never stopping. I arched against him as he held me tight.

“Kayla, oh yes, let go honey, just let it go.”

I screamed again, continuing to arch up against him. I didn’t really comprehend that what was happening was an incredible orgasm. I started to come down from the incredible high.

Javier whispered in my ear, “That’s how I want you to feel when I’m inside you, Kayla.”

I stared into his face, not understanding how I could possibly feel like that again.

He kissed me, indulgently running his hands over my breasts making me want him again. I slid my hands over his chest, and slowly down his waist, traveling to his erection, wanting to make him feel as good as he made me feel. He reached past me and pulled a condom out of the nightstand drawer. He ripped it open quickly, rolling it onto himself.

Would this hurt like people said, or would I feel what Javier promised to do to me again? He kissed me and my fears melted away. He ran his hand back down to where he’d touched me a few minutes before. I shuddered as he caressed me again.

This time I felt his finger enter into me. He slowly pressed it in and out of me. I wasn’t scared or embarrassed. I was surprised at how good this felt and I didn’t want him to stop. His touch was gentle and I moved with him as he continued to taunt me. When he slipped a second finger in me, I panicked a little, afraid this would hurt.

His eyes looked into mine, concerned. “Am I hurting you?”

I looked back at him saying nothing for a moment. Did this hurt or was I just scared? “No. You’re not hurting me.”

A warm and tender smile spread across his face as his gaze pierced mine, never looking away. I felt his fingers rhythmically in me. The same feeling of wanting more, of my entire core being on fire overcame me. I was nearly to the point of tipping over the edge again, but this time he didn’t take me all the way.

He pushed my legs apart. “Kayla, this is going to hurt a little bit.”

I shook my head, ready and a little scared as I shuddered. He pushed into me hard. I gasped as I felt the pinch of him all of the way inside of me. He lay still. My eyes squeezed shut, not looking at him.

“Kayla, look at me.” He sounded worried “Are you okay? Did I hurt you?”

As I stared up at him, I saw the worry on his face. “I'm good, Javier. You’re not hurting me.”

  “Bend your knees up baby.”

I did and felt him carefully within me as he began moving rhythmically back and forth in me. I was glad it didn’t hurt at all anymore. I felt the intensity building in me as his gentle undulations became faster and harder. This was every bit as erotic as when he touched me and I met his tempo with the same overwhelming intensity.

He reached down and touched me while our bodies swayed together and I cried out, not expecting this at the same time. I bucked against him as I screamed, not able to take any more and I pressed against him, hard. He grabbed me and I heard him let out a gasp of his own as he pushed into me one last time. We both collapsed onto the bed, trying to catch our breath.

Javier’s head rested on my chest as my heart continued to race. He looked up at me after a few minutes and smiled tenderly at me. “Are you okay, Kayla?”

I smiled back at him and ran my fingers through his dark hair. “I’m more than okay.”

He gently lifted himself up, off me and kissed me lightly. He pulled off the condom and tossed it into a wastebasket near the nightstand. He pulled the covers over us and wrapped me in his arms. “Don’t let me forget to flush that before someone comes in here and finds the evidence.”

  Chapter 12

Morning came and our perfect evening had passed. When could we be together the next time? Would we always have to sneak around? It just didn’t seem fair that two people so happy couldn’t openly be together.

Javier stared at me. “What's going through that mind of yours?”

Looking up at him, I smiled. “I’m pouting because I can’t see you whenever I want.”

Saying nothing, he kissed my forehead.

I rolled up an elbow and gazed at him. “I’m serious. When will we ever have time together with the way my Gestapo parents are?”

  “We’re here now, aren’t we?”

“What about after today? What then?”

“We’ll find a way. Don’t worry. Let’s just take one day at a time.” He rolled me on my back and slid down under the sheets.

“What are you doing?” I laughed when I suddenly felt my thighs spread apart and his tongue between them.

“Oh my God.” I jumped, not expecting what I was feeling. He already had his hands on my hips holding me still. His tongue probed and touched me. His mouth pressed against me. My hands slipped into his hair and I felt myself lose control. This feeling was surreal and glorious. He came back up from under the sheets and kissed me hard.

Tasting myself on Javier’s lips was unexpected. If that was his intention, it was hot. His hand slid back down, touching me, readying me. He pulled the drawer open, removing another condom. This time he took my hand and helped me roll it onto him. He flipped me around and I found myself on top of him. I didn’t know what to do. The morning sun made me feel exposed and vulnerable. For a moment, I worried about being seen openly in the bright bedroom.

“Stop fretting and just enjoy this.” His hands probed me and he pushed himself into me. I was a little sore from the previous night, but totally ready from his little surprise a few minutes ago. I felt nervous being on top and wasn’t sure what to do next. He grabbed my hips and started easing me up and down on him.

In a matter of a few moments, I’d taken control and was enjoying this thoroughly. Once again, Javier ensured I met my climax as he rubbed my sweet spot while I moved. I couldn’t take much more and exploded with such intensity that I had to come forward and hold onto him. He kept moving through my orgasm, which kept me going as I felt myself clenching against him. He pushed into me hard, groaning as he held onto me, letting me know he’d met the same pleasure that I was feeling.

I rested on top of his chest. Trying to catch my breath, I totally relaxed in his arms. He ran his hand up and down my back while my breathing slowly returned to normal. “Javier?”

  “Yeah?”

  “I love you too.”

He kissed the top of my head and pulled me to him tighter. We drifted off to sleep until we heard a knock on the door. We both shot up at lightning speed.

“Oh my God, Javier! What if it’s your parents?”

“Shh, stay here and I’ll see who it is.” He got up and flung the second condom in the garbage. On his way across the room, he pulled on a T-shirt and shorts. He walked to the door and yelled. “Who is it?”

  “Veronica.”

Javier cracked the door. “What do you want?”

“I need to get Kayla into the house before someone notices she’s in here with you.”

“Can’t we just say that I invited her to go out to breakfast and she met me here?”

  “Well
, wise guy, where do you think you two are going to go without risking being seen by her family? You have to stay here which means she needs to get back into the house. I brought her a T-shirt and shorts. You guys can act like you’re taking a morning walk, showing her around the grounds and crap like that. After breakfast, she can shower up in the main house.”

“Thanks, Veronica. You’re the best little liar I know.”

“Shut up, bonehead. Get moving before you two get caught. And don’t say I never did anything for you.” Veronica turned and walked away.

He grinned as he returned, clothes in hand. “Here, Veronica brought you some things. You can get ready in the main house with her.”

I took the bag and looked inside. Shorts, T-shirt, and flip-flops. “Is she mad I stayed in here with you all night?”

  “Why would she be mad?”

“Because I’m here with her cousin and she knows what we are doing in here.”

“Don’t you know who I am? She wouldn’t dare get mad at me or you.”

“No actually, I don’t. Who are you that you can go to the front of the line at the pub, prance around town in in your hot vintage car, and nobody ever tells you no?”

His dark eyes locked on mine as he stepped very close to me, “I am Javier Fuentes, the one who just took you in my bed, the favorite son of this family, the favorite grandchild and the favorite nephew. I have connections everywhere and use them as needed. I also declared that I love you, which I have never said to any girl in my life because it wasn’t true before you.”

I smiled back taking all of this in, not moving. “What makes you the favorite?”

  “Why am I your favorite?”

“Are you sleeping with your family too?” I frowned, joking with him some more.

“That is disgusting,” he said, trying to keep a straight face.

Laughing, we both dressed and walked the grounds as instructed by Veronica.

  Chapter 13

I walked through the mall with Veronica trying to figure out what to give Javier for Christmas, frustrated I’d end up leaving empty-handed. “What do you give to the guy who has everything?”

“He doesn’t have everything. I'm sure he's mentioned wanting something at some point. I mean I know you two don’t do a whole lot of talking when you’re locked up in the guest-house, but I’m sure you talk other times.”

  “Ha, ha, very funny.”

“It is actually. How about something for that car he loves so much?”

  “Like what?”

“I don’t know, just trying to come up with ideas.” As we strolled the mall, Veronica pointed to a jewelry store. “Let’s go in there and see what they have.”

I shrugged, open to any and all ideas in order to find something he’d like. We entered the jewelry store and browsed as we walked up and down the aisles, not really having anything specific in mind. My eye caught the glimmer of the diamond engagement rings, and for a moment I wondered if someday Javier and I would tie the knot. A smile spread across my face as I scanned the rings again.

I stopped when a gold pinky ring with onyx inlaid around the center grabbed my attention. It’d kill my Christmas budget, but I really wanted to get it for Javier. I waved Veronica over from the necklaces to get her input. “What do you think?”

The saleswoman took it out of the display case in order for us to have a closer look.

“I think you just found a gift for the man that has everything.”

As I gazed down at the ring, I felt a smile spread across my face. “I’ll take it.”

The sales associate gift-wrapped the small box after ringing up the sale. She handed me the small bag. “Have a Merry Christmas.”

“Thank you. Merry Christmas.” As I turned to leave, I noticed my father standing at a counter looking at jewelry with someone who wasn’t my mother. I’d no idea who the woman was, but they looked very cozy together. I looked away and started toward the exit into the mall.

Veronica hurried behind me. “Hey, wait up!”

“My father is in there.” I kept walking and looking down.

“He is? Where?” She turned around to look.

  “Don’t. He’s with another woman.”

“You’re kidding! Maybe, it’s someone he works with and she’s helping him pick out a Christmas gift for your mom.”

I smiled, hoping it appeared sincere. “Maybe.”

Veronica put her arm around me as we continued to walk. “It'll be okay. Whatever it is, I'm here for you.”

I laid my head on her shoulder as we walked. “Thanks.”

After several hours, we finally finished our holiday shopping. We took to the road for the long drive back to Nogales. Christmas break was next week. I looked forward to spending as much time as possible alone with Javier. Only six more months and we’d graduate, totally done with school and done with hiding.

Veronica dropped me off and I made quite a lot of racket balancing my purchases as I entered the house. Setting my bags down, I decided to let my mother know I was home.

“Hey, Mom.” I walked into the living room and found her sitting in front of the Christmas tree.

“Hi honey. Did you get all of your shopping done?” She smiled at me, but it didn’t seem to reach her eyes.

“Yep. I am officially ready for Christmas. Where are Dawn and Dad?”

“Dawn went to her friend Yvette’s house and your dad is working.”

“Working on the weekend?” I hoped I didn’t look as stunned as I felt. He is so not working.

“Yes, he should be home anytime though.”

“Okay, Mom. Well, I'm bushed, so I'm gonna wrap these gifts and then turn in for the night.” I walked over to give her a hug.

“Good night.” Mom kissed my cheek.

I went to my room and called Javier.

  “Hola, mi amor.”

  “Hello. How are you?”

“Missing you. Do you want to meet me at my house?”

“You know I do, but I just got home from shopping with Veronica, and I already told my mom I was turning in for the night.”

  “What’s the matter?”

“What do you mean? Nothing is the matter.”

“I know you and something is wrong.”

I heard the concern in his voice. “You do know me, don’t you?” I let out a heavy sigh, remembering what I saw at the jewelry store. I needed to get it all out. “When Veronica and I were shopping, I saw my dad with another woman. We thought maybe it was a coworker helping him shop, but when I got home my mom said my dad was at work. Clearly, he’s not.”

Javier was quiet for a moment. “Kayla, I’m sorry.”

“Me too. My mom doesn’t deserve this. He has a lot of nerve holding me hostage all the time when he’s out with his little girlfriend.”

“It won’t be much longer and we can live any way we want.”

“That sounds like a dream come true.”

“Do you want to go skiing with me over New Year’s?”

  “You ski?”

“Why do you sound so surprised?”

I laughed. “Well, I don’t know, you grew up in Nogales. How often could you possibly ski?”

“Well, Miss East-Coast, Snow Snob, we have the White Mountains in Arizona and I ski quite well.”

“I am not a snob and I’m sorry. I stand corrected. I’d love to ski with you, but how will I pull it off?”

“We take our chaperone of course.”

  “Where will we stay?”

“My family owns a cabin in Greer.”

“But, of course. Why didn’t I just assume that? Will your folks let you use it?”

“Heck, yes. We’ll take Veronica, Ricardo, and his girlfriend. It’ll be fun.”
/>
“We should take someone for Veronica too.”

“You want me to set her up with someone?”

“No, maybe one of her girlfriends can ski?”

“I think Alma does. I'll ask her.”

“What do I tell my parental units?”

“Ask if you can go to Veronica’s family’s cabin through New Year’s. It isn’t a lie because I am her family and we do have a cabin.”

“Who’s driving will be the next question.”

“Let’s hope they don’t ask that since you are asking about going with her family and that implies her parents.”

“I will give it a try and let you know. Will I be able to see you Christmas?”

“Probably not, cariña. We are going to Mexico to see the family and you know how your folks are. There won’t be a good excuse to see Veronica on Christmas, and seeing me is out of the question.”

  “I hate this.”

“Not much longer and we’ll live together soon if that’s what you want.”

“Do you want that? To live with me, I mean?”

“If that’s what you want, then yes.”

“But, what do you want? I mean what school do you want to go to?”

“I can go to school for business anywhere. As far as what I want, well I just want to be with you.”

I wanted the same thing. “When can we exchange gifts?”

“Let’s plan on it when we are in the mountains.”

“Everyone else will be there though.”

“I'm sure we can find some alone time.”

I moaned at the thought of being alone with Javier. “I'll ask tomorrow.” Please let them say yes, I silently begged.

  “Good night, my love.”

  Chapter 14

On Christmas morning, the entire family opened gifts together. I tried to look enthusiastic while I sat in my flannel PJ’s, but I really wanted the next several days to be over so I could be on my way to the mountains. Javier was in Mexico and I couldn’t even text him since I didn’t have international service. My dad claimed it was a waste of money just so we could cross the border in order to dance at the pub.
